Frequently Asked Questions

How many other weddings will you film on my wedding day?

Zero! Your wedding day receives my full attention. When you hire Autumn Video, you are 100% guaranteed that yours is the only wedding our cameras will see that day.

Will you be behind the camera at my wedding?

I am the primary videographer and I come to every wedding. Usually, I’ll bring a professional, trained assistant so that a team of two videographers is available to cover every special moment.

How many weddings have you filmed?

Since its beginning in 2004, Autumn Video has filmed over 400 weddings—that’s close to 40 weddings a year.

How far in advance should I book your services?

Typically, most people book six months ahead of time. If your date is set for a popular month, like October, you might want to reserve services even earlier. As always, please check for availability—I have been known to book weddings a few days prior to the event.

What is your filming style?

My goal is to produce a wedding video that you’ll love, show off to friends and family, and cherish year after year of wedded bliss. I’m here to shoot a video that suits you and your style.  Because I’ve been in this industry for more than a decade, I’ve developed the ability to shoot weddings in any style that you prefer.  Whether you want a documentary, a grouping of interviews, or a stylized product, I can create it for you. We will go over your taste and preferences during your personal consultation.

What was the shortest ceremony you have ever filmed?

Four minutes—yes, that’s four. The couple wanted to keep it short and sweet, and the minister delivered.

What’s the longest ceremony you’ve filmed?

Four hours—yes, that’s hours for just the ceremony. It was for a traditional Hindu ceremony I filmed in Irving, Texas, using four cameras.

  2. Full Ceremony coverage

Do you do interviews?

Happily!

Why hire a professional videographer?

In short, weddings are just too important.  Professional wedding photography has come a long way with the advent of digital cameras and high-tech editing tools, but they still miss too much: they can’t replace voices, music, and all of the nuances that will make your wedding day come alive. A video will preserve your personal, solemn vows to one another, the heartfelt toasts at your reception, and the look and feel of that first dance forever.

Why should I hire you?

This is the day you have been anticipating for years—you want to make sure that this once-in-a-lifetime experience can be captured and preserved by someone who has years of experience, proven results, and a dedication to client satisfaction. You want to make sure all of your questions are addressed thoroughly and that all of your emails are answered quickly and easily.  When you hire Autumn Video, you hire a videographer who combines passion, creativity, and experience to  provide you with a fantastic wedding video and top-notch customer service.

How long does it take to get my video?

Depending on the length of coverage shot at your wedding, you can expect to receive the final, edited video within six weeks or less of being married.

How do I hire you?

Please contact me for availability. If the date is open, I will send you a contract that you will need to return with a 20% deposit to reserve the date. The remaining balance is due before I send the final, edited video.
